A popular and yet not-crowded tourist destination, Naukuchiatal lake is a wonderful place to visit. It's situated after Bhimtal, perhaps a more popular destination, and one travels through a rather narrow road to reach it. The lake that gives this place its name has 'nine corners' and is serene, clean and beautiful. It has been further developed as a tourist destination with a nice lakefront, plenty of water sports options and a few zip lines too.
If you are looking to come closer to nature, avoid the hustle and bustle of a typical hill destination and are not hoping to spend time and money shopping, Naukuchiatal lake must be on your list. I would recommend spending atleast two days at this place, try water sports and for sure relish the local and naturally grown fruits.
There are many good hotels for one to choose from near the Naukuchiatal lake. The best option I would say is the KMVN hotel that's perfectly located with ample space for parking. As is the case with any trip to the hills; drive carefully, be sensitive to local ecology and become a part of the world around you.
