The National Zoological Park or the zoo in Delhi is remarkable. A perfect way to spend time with family and friends on a weekend.
One important tip is, make an anti-clockwise round, i.e. start from watching tiger, jaguar and panther and conclude with birds and rhino especially if you have kids with you. Else, it's a long walk and kids loose interest before it begins.
You can buy an online ticket and save the time spent standing at ticket window. There's plenty of parking space and best is to carry your own food. But remember, you can't carry any eatables inside so make sure you leave everything in car.
If you plan well, it's a picnic that's a learning experience for everyone.
